Milandra is a Melbourne-based singer, songwriter, actress, and multi-disciplinary creative force known for her raw honesty, theatrical flair, and soulful blend of pop, rock, and 80s-inspired sounds. Her music is emotionally charged, visually striking, and rooted in truth—drawing from personal experiences to tell stories that both challenge and comfort.

Nicknamed the “Impatient Girl” after her feel-good single, Milandra embodies fearless reinvention and artistic authenticity. Her latest single, “COLD”, produced by Damon Smith and featuring Claira-J and Kamanu Dennis, fuses vulnerability with bold pop-soul stylings, marking another step in her evolution.

Early Roots & Musical Journey

Theatrically trained in dance from age three, Milandra’s performance journey began on stage, singing classics by Judy Garland and Nina Simone while immersed in ballet and musical theatre. Inspired by icons like Madonna, Annie Lennox, Belinda Carlisle, and Janet Jackson, she developed a love for powerful, expressive performance.

In her 20s, she drove hours to her uncle’s home studio, pouring emotions into original songs—long before social media and streaming platforms. These sessions shaped her emotionally rich songwriting and signature sound. Later, she fronted various rock, pop, and soul bands, honing her collaborative and leadership skills while captivating audiences with her voice—a paradoxical blend of jazz-like depth and youthful innocence.

Stage to Screen & Everything In Between

Milandra’s creative ambition extends beyond music. Trained at the Victorian College of the Arts and Screen Acting Melbourne with Director & Producer Rohan Jones, as well as under actress Simone Buchanan at Film & TV Studio International, she brings emotional truth to both screen and sound. She’s starred as a lead in several short films and strives to elevate her music videos into cinematic experiences.

As a producer, director, and storyteller, Milandra is editing the music video for “Moment”—a powerful narrative about bullying and self-identity, portraying a redhead high school student with a rare hair-pulling condition. Her provocative video for “Pornography” is, in her words, “sure to turn heads and possibly make you feel uncomfortable while leaving you wanting more.”

More than a performer, Milandra is a mother, fighter, and advocate for self-expression. Her upcoming single “Peachy Cream”, set for release in October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, is a tribute to her gorgeous mum and the powerful women who’ve shaped her life—an anthem of feminine strength and love.

After taking time off to raise her son and manage the family’s IT business, Milandra returned post-COVID with renewed purpose, seeing it as her second chance to create, perform, and connect through art.
